I am from London, ON, and I am an aspiring Interior Design professional. Since a young age I have always been drawn to the grand detail of architecture and the aesthetics of interior spaces. I feel as though Interior Design allows for both the freedom of creative expression and ability to become knowledgeable in multiple disciplines. I enjoy all aspects of Interior Design and all manner of project types in the field, but I have found myself most called to residential design. I aspire to specialize in designing for residential projects and apply the skills and knowledge I have gained throughout my time in the Honours Bachelor of Interior Design program at Fanshawe College to everyday interior spaces.

A Postpartum Depression Rehabilitation Centre that Reduces Stress and Anxiety while Encouraging Natural Healing

Many women have trouble finding adequate support and opportunities for healing in the healthcare system. A significant number of women have felt their health and wellness concerns were not taken seriously or completely overlooked by a physician. Physical and mental health are impacted severely during birth and the postpartum period. This is a time when women need the most emotional, physical, mental, and social support, but unfortunately many are not able to get that. The intention of this rehabilitation centre is not only to address the issues and create awareness, but to help combat stress and anxiety symptoms through nature-based design and natural healing practices. The Rehabilitation Centre will offer an opportunity for a positive mental escape by way of natural materials, a mixture of private and collaborative spaces, biophilic design elements, mental health support, physical wellness support, and various group activities.
