My passion for interior design began from a very young age, as I was always fascinated by interior design shows and the creative possibilities that designers brought into many different environments. My love for interior design grew even more in high school when my father, a construction developer, took me to his job site and introduced me to his team. I had the privilege of meeting one of the most inspiring interior designers, whose unique style and design concepts truly motivated me. Ever since then, I have been deeply passionate about interior design and the way specific design elements can influence a space. Additionally, I am particularly interested in biophilia and sustainable design, which align with my belief that the environment we create can have a positive impact on people's well-being and l the planet as well.

Holistic Care Centre: Designing a Space to Enhance the Overall Well-Being of Individuals in Palliative Care

SERENOVA

In order for patients in palliative care centres to feel comfortable and at home during this difficult time in their lives, implementing positive environments to unwind and foster new connections will be beneficial for patients in palliative care centres. Serenova is the name of this palliative care centre. It stems from the words serene meaning calm and nova meaning new in Latin, as the space aims to create a new sense of new beginnings and calmness. These calming natural elements help create a nurturing space, fostering emotional and physical comfort for patients and their families. Through the use of biophilic elements along with warm and natural lighting, the space will be intended for relaxation along with creating a supportive environment to aid in the mental and physical well-being of these patients. Specific activities such as art therapy, activity areas, along with group discussion spaces are the areas that have been implemented in order to foster these strong and positive connections.
