Rebecca Rodriguez

I decided I wanted to study interior design when I was in senior year of high school because ever since I was a kid, I have had a passion for creating spaces that are visually pleasing. I have always been a creative person and I feel like this profession has allowed me to express my creativity in a unique and fun way. I would love to specialize in hospitality and commercial design because I want to be able to create beautiful and functional spaces for people to interact with.

Interior Design Solutions for Improving Wellness and Productivity of Employees Within an Office Environment

Thesis Capstone Project

Office environments can become uncomfortable spaces after several hours of spending a full day of work static in a cubicle. As a result of this lack of comfort and flexibility within the workplace the idea of creating a suitable space where comfort and work meet is conceived; this project will aim to accommodate an office that not only promotes productivity but also aims to the wellbeing of every user by taking a human centric approach as well as considering the WELL Building Standard. Additionally, the project will attempt to have a low environmental footprint by following LEED Standards. The goal of the project will be to ensure a space that promotes productivity and improves the overall wellbeing of the users.
