I am passionate about the way interior spaces can connect, support, and value those using them. I appreciate how interior design integrates art and craftsmanship into people's everyday lives with the ability to improve experiences and create memories while cherishing both the natural and built environment. I find great interest in biophilic design and the innate human connection to the natural world, and how organic instances can be integrated into the spaces we design.
A Community Centre Providing a Third place for Secondary Students to Support Transition into Higher Education
KOIOS
Koios is a learning enterprise that welcomes all community members to come together, socialize, and create. Three pillars of education are artistically represented to inspire users to learn on their own terms with a goal of mitigating the intimidating nature of transitioning into higher education. Learning is appreciated through design while encouraging community members to congregate, create, and share ideas with one another in a familiar place. A Studio, Makerspace, and Tech Zone represent three pillars of education: history, science, and math, where individuals can explore and discover through art, reading, and conversation. A third place to take a break from daily tasks and focus on one’s individual interests.
