Interior design to me is so special, it gives me the opportunity to have a significant impact on a person's well-being, help protect the natural environment, and enhance the human experience within the built environment. Through the small details such as color, texture, furniture, spatial layout, access to daylighting, wayfinding, and more as interior designers we are able to curate multisensory experiences that can create a flow, improve happiness, and touch the souls of the users helping to positively impact their lives. Interior design also has the ability to help preserve and protect the natural environment, through sustainable design interventions we can develop healthy, positive interior and exterior space. Fusing the interior and exterior to feel as one can help both the users and the surrounding environment. Interior Design is all about human experience within space and their connection with the surrounding nature, having the ability to touch the lives of as many people as possible and make their lives and experiences better is ultimately what drives my passion.

Wellness Center Aiding in Alleviating Burnout and Anxiety Among College and University Students
AURA WELLNESS CENTER
Aura is the proposed solution for a wellness center with a focus on carefully designed spaces to support post-secondary students looking to alleviate burnout. Throughout the space, students will experience a holistic approach to wellness and mental health services, creating a suspension of time, and submerging users into a healing environment. Through the exploration of human connection to enveloping spaces, a sense of place is promoted through nature-inspired elements that provide restorative moments throughout the built environment. Holistic healing opportunities are provided through thoughtful spatial layout and intuitive way-finding navigation tools to experience the space as suited to their needs. The interior environment is curated to provide a blend of public and private wellness experiences. The center's colour palette has been curated to be soft, warm, and bright considering colour theory and psychology to create a safe, inviting, and inspiring atmosphere ideal for healing and mental recovery. This is complemented by the use of continuous curvilinear forms, textures, and layered lighting taping into the user's 5 senses creating an enhanced multi-sensory experience to aid in healing the individual as a whole, in mind body, and soul through this restorative environment. Aura aims to offer a space for relief and refuge helping to improve their well-being and feel confident in their personal and academic lives through the integration of community and self-exploration. Users should leave feeling like their aura is glowing.
