My passion for interior design began at a young age as I loved going into people's homes and observing all the different styles of design that exist within people’s lives. After graduating highschool I decided to pursue a career in this field and enrolled in the Honours Bachelor of Interior Design Program at Fanshawe College. For me as a new “emerging” designer I think it’s important to take into consideration each indivIdual's personal design style and create the best possible outcome that will reflect their lifestyle while also applying my knowledge of interior design into the space. I love all areas of interior design, but I am most passionate about residential design and am planning on beginning my career in this field after graduation.

Encouraging positive mental health practices for working professionals experiencing burnout syndrome through the use of a Wellness Centre Retreat.

Thesis Capstone Project

Burnout syndrome is common more now than ever before because of the effects of the recent pandemic. Although the pandemic has affected most people in one way or another, it has had a tremendous effect on the mental wellbeing of working professionals and them being overworked resulting in burnout syndrome. Which if left untreated could lead to a spiraling effect of anxiety, depression and even thoughts of suicide.

This project will focus on creating a Wellness Center retreat that provides users with access to services and amenities such as a Yoga Studio, Massage Rooms, Mineral Pool, Cold Plunge Pool, a Rooftop Hot Tub, a Finish Sauna and a Café that offers healthy food and beverage options. All which will allow them to unwind and recharge from their daily life stresses.
