Growing up I recognized that I was more of a creative person in various forms but specifically when it came to the way that I occupied spaces. This sparked my love for the various aspects of Interior Design because I came to see the relationships that the body has with the built environment, and how we as humans can function more comfortably through the use of design. Interior Design is an industry that is ever changing and offers ample opportunities to expand your knowledge. The idea that society advances with the design world has always fascinated me and I love the sense of connection between individuals throughout the industry.

A Proposed Design of a Support Centre to Assist
Tweens with Autism

THE MENDING HAND

The Mending Hand support centre aims to resolve the lack of, and accessibility to resources for those aged 7 - 12 with autism and their families. As an after-school program, tweens and their support systems are welcome to grow together and strengthen connections, through stimulating activities offered within the centre. With key focuses being on wellbeing, inclusivity, accessibility, and acoustics, all who occupy the space [tweens, staff, and families] may participate in immersive learning experiences and will be able to obtain the tools for regaining independence throughout their journeys while living with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD).
