I'm from the small town of Ingersoll, and I've lived there most of my life. I have always had a passion for Visual Arts, the environment, and designing unique interiors, so Interior Design was a clear occupation path. After graduation, I will work towards becoming a certified Interior Designer, obtaining LEED and WELL certifications (among others) and becoming an employee at a company with strong environmental values because sustainability is very important to me.

Designing a Community Centre for Cultural Inclusivity

As populations diversify and grow, so does the need for better cultural representation and inclusion. Rather than stripping cultural identity from public buildings/spaces, it should be better incorporated and celebrated. It is much more impressive, representative, and inclusive of diverse communities when cultural representation is purposely included within the built-environment and properly portrayed simultaneously. This Thesis project will create a space that positively influences Cultural Inclusivity in Community Centres while boosting the importance of equality, representation, and inclusion to which all individuals are entitled.
