Lydia Bartels
My passion for interior design comes from the creativity and variety that each project offers. I especially enjoy material selection and rendering, where I can bring design ideas to life while focusing on thoughtful details such as color coordination and organization. With an interest in both residential and commercial design, I enjoy creating spaces that are functional and visually cohesive. As I begin my career, I hope to continue expanding my knowledge of sustainable design and be involved in making an impact in society.
Instrumental Community Hub
Resonance
The proposed Instrumental Community Hub addresses a gap in the City of London: the lack of accessible, inclusive spaces for community-based musical engagement. Despite London’s recognition as a UNESCO City of Music, opportunities for participation are often fragmented and financially restrictive. The Resonance Instrumental Hub promotes social connection, emotional well-being, and intergenerational engagement through music. By providing flexible, acoustically responsive spaces for informal practice, experimentation, and lessons, the hub encourages participation without financial or performance pressure. Designed to foster creativity and emotional comfort, Resonance expands access to musical resources while supporting wellness, inclusivity, and shared community identity.
