Beyond Arrival

Louna Koudsi

I’m passionate about designing spaces that thoughtfully balance atmosphere, materiality, and light to shape meaningful experiences. I’m particularly interested in how interiors influence the way people interact with their surroundings and with each other. I enjoy exploring creative ideas while grounding them in purposeful design, always considering how a space can feel intuitive, engaging, and impactful for the people who use it.

Community Centre for Newcomer Youth Wellbeing and Belonging

Beyond Arrival

My capstone project explores the design of a community hub for newcomer youth that supports belonging, cultural exchange, and social connection. The space functions as a “third place” between home and school, offering environments for gathering, creative expression, and shared experiences. Through flexible programming and human-centered design strategies, the project aims to create an inclusive setting where young people from diverse backgrounds can build community, develop skills, and feel a stronger sense of connection to their new environment.
