Kadence Allen
“Interior design is a way of shaping how people feel, move, and connect within a space.” I’m drawn to environments that balance clarity, warmth, and intention. My design philosophy centers on creating spaces that feel intuitive and human — places where materiality, light, and proportion work quietly in the background to support everyday life. I’m passionate about thoughtful detailing, adaptive reuse, and calm, grounded palettes that elevate function without overwhelming the senses. My goal is to design spaces that feel considered, welcoming, and genuinely lived‑in.
Designing Multi-Zonal Environments: Supporting Mental Wellness Through Sensory-Responsive Design
Neurohaven
Neurohaven is a space designed to offer choice, comfort, and calm through thoughtful spatial sequencing and material clarity. The concept transforms an existing environment into a multi‑zonal setting where users can move intuitively between social connection, quiet focus, and restorative retreat. Warm textures, grounded palettes, and controlled lighting create a sense of ease, while biophilic cues and subtle acoustic strategies support a balanced sensory experience. Neurohaven prioritizes dignity, autonomy, and emotional wellbeing, demonstrating how intentional design can elevate everyday moments and foster a deeper sense of belonging.
