I am passionate about designing spaces that honour the complexity of being human. My work is rooted in wellness, emotion, ritual, and sensory experience, with a particular interest in how design can support women’s bodies and inner lives. I see interior design as more than function or appearance; it is a way of shaping atmosphere, supporting healing, and creating environments that foster reflection, comfort, and a deeper sense of connection.
Designs role in the Female Hormonal Cycle
672
Despite growing research on female hormonal cycles, the built environment rarely reflects the needs of the female body. Most spaces have historically been designed around male biological norms and a standardized 24-hour rhythm, overlooking the cyclical nature of women’s health. This project proposes a wellness environment intentionally designed around the female 28-day hormonal cycle. Through interior architecture, circulation, lighting, temperature, colour, and materiality, the space becomes an active tool for regulation and restoration. The spa is organized into down-regulation zones for the menstrual and luteal phases and up-regulation zones for the follicular and ovulatory phases, allowing users to intuitively select environments that support awareness, comfort, and hormonal wellbeing.
