The Link

Carly Weirmier

My passion for design began at a young age sparked by renovation shows and building my own Barbie dream house by hand. What started as a childhood hobby has grown into a meaningful career centered on designing spaces that combine functionality and aesthetics. Interior design comes with a responsibility to support the wellbeing of the users within and elevate experiences through creativity. Welcome to my journey toward becoming a design professional.

Designing a Tech-Positive Social Hub for Teens

The Link

The Link is a tech-positive social hub for adolescents focusing on three main spaces:
Tech-positive space: building a healthy relationship with technology for physical activity and creative use
Creative space: blending hands on art with digital art promoting self-expression
Social space: building real-world connections through a low tech zone with table games for collaborative play and socialization
Together these spaces create The Link, a space for adolescents to focus on the benefits of their ‘onlife’ world.
